Toothpaste evolution

I don't think I've owned two tubes of the same toothpaste in the past 10 years. Every time I buy a new tube of crest, it's a new formula or new package than the last time. This time, it's "Pro health". I just call it a pointless exercise in marketing. After all, how many people switch brands of toothpaste in the course of their lives? I'd be willing to wager not many. Of course, this crowd isn't exactly the norm either, with many people opting for sensodyne or something supercool...

Another update!

Well, after seeing a whole buttload of updates from other people, here's mine!

I just got back from my first adjustment this morning and there's really not much to report. I got a square wire for the bottom so that teeth can move in two directions at once I guess. The upper one seems to be thicker as well, but not as thick as it WILL get (says the ortho). They also mentioned I'll get elastics eventually. I guess the mild crossbite's gotta go sometime.

I can't complain about pain
I can't whine about the shine
I can't snork over the torque

However, I can complain about all the little tiny bits of food that get stuck EVERYWHERE. Sometimes it takes me 15 minutes of picking and tonguing and prodding to get the last piece of crud outta there only to have a friend point out a big piece of lettuce I missed.
