So I'm starting to get some real grievances about my braces.

1. It seems that my damn teeth bite together in a different way each day. I know this is a good thing and very indicative of how messed up it must've been before and that it's getting better. That doesn't mean I like it though

2. Sharpness. It seems that certain foods or drinks sensitize my lips to the sharp metal. The Damon system braces have sharp protrusions on the top and bottom that would normally hold ligature ties. I dunno why they still have them. Grr, pokey

3. Flossing. Damn it's annoying now.

Poor HeadJam! Here's to you feeling loads better quickly.

If your brackets feel pokey, make sure your fluid (water) intake is sufficient. If your mouth is dry, the brackets (no matter how smooth they normally feel), can do a major ripping job.

A changing bite can be frustrating ... and I do understand, as I've had over three years of this. I've never felt the desire not to eat, but sometimes it's more of a challenge than others.

Flossing will get easier ... keep practising! It would be a damn shame to go through treatment and put your teeth at risk, due to not looking after your gums.

    Keeping smiling!

Sorry the braces have been making you complain.

braces can poke and it's very annoying. Hopefully the cuts heal fast.

Changing bites can get annoying. Mine only felt weird after adjustments.

I understand the flossing is hard.

    Hope it all gets better!

Thanks to the tip about water Sunny. I've made a point to drink more and now I have no problem.
