Final Stages of fine-tuning. Dr. is being a perfectionist. He told me if I wanted to we could take the braces off anytime and they'd look amazing. But we are going from great-greatest

Update: Ortho appt went very well today, I got my last rectangular ideal archwire on my bottom teeth. Now I have both of my final wires in place and at my next visit, it will be fine tuning and detailing from there! Countdown of just a few more months to bare! I can't wait!

I am currently in my 12th month of treatment with metal braces. I am currently one visit and archwire away from my "ideal" rectangular archwire.

I got elastics today...this is exciting...and painful. My jaw is not agreeing with them and is fighting it. I have them on both sides. They are from my upper canines to my lower #7's (which is my very last molar) I know most people have them extended only to the 6's. is there a reason for mine being further back? Anyone know? ...

Hey all, my life is still pretty busy but I get on here whenever I can remember! So yesterday I had another ortho appointment. Currently I am one wire away on both my top and bottom arches from my ideal archwire..which is rectangular. ew. Apparently it will help with my overjet and torque and move my bone around. I asked the ortho for a timeline ( considering I have a wedding to plan for soon!!) and he said at my next appointment (on April 8th) if my teeth have moved where he wants them, I will ...

I have not visited you guys in so long! I am sooo sorry. Things have been CRAZY in my life and I need not scare you to death with the details! SO I believe I am in month numbero 7 of metal braces!

My teeth are nearly perfect!! I am sorry I don't have any pictures to supply you with but I will try to get on that when I get a chance. Some things that have happened in the past five months concerning my teeth:

OK so it's been a week or two since my first adjustment appointment but ALOT of things have been going on. I got an Assistant Manager position so I've been working full time and nights. But I really wanted to post a blog to tell you guys how things went! Well I ended up not getting new wires just some powerchains..those are fun..not.

I have a 2 link chain ( looks like this 00) from my upper canine to my first premolar to get it to rotate some more. and then i have the second little ...

My very 1st archwire switch is this Thursday and I thought I would make a blog to tell/show you guys what I'm looking to have improved with new wires! I took some better quality pictures this time..although a tad blurry in one (sorry!) and I went and pointed to the areas where I personally would like to see more improvement in! Chime in if you see some things I don't! Here goes!


Upper Arch- I am really impressed with the movement that has happened in just two and a half months! ...

PICS** Alright! So its been a little past two months on my upper braces and almost 1 whole month on the lowers. Here's a picture update! As for details, M next appointment is July 16th for an archwire adjustment. My uppers are really straightening out!! Let me know what you think! M bottoms still have a long way to go in pulling my premolar up but there's improvement!

So my appointment was 2 days ago to get my lower braces bonded on. The process went as it did the first time, except much quicker i guess since I knew what was going on. There was no wire change on my tops. I have the flexible 16s on both top and bottom now. All they did to the to was switch out my old o-rings for new ones!

OH, i forgot. I have steel ties on a few stubborn teeth now. On the tops, I have two. One on my left canine to help it rotate more and one on my right front ...

I PROMISE I HAVENT FELL OFF THE EARTH! ugh ive been so busy with college finals and moving back home for the summer and starting a new job i haven't even been able to get on here as much as i wanted. :/ Yesterday was my one month anniversary with my braces! I have noticed some changes. Let me know if you guys see a difference! Hopefully I can figure out how to put the pictures in this blog entry but neverless they're in my album right now anyway so woooo!

I really need to get these pictures up but I've just been so busy with finals week in college I haven't had the time to get on here much! The other day I called and had them put my appointment to get my lower braces on earlier so now it's on June 4th at 3:30 pm I'm much happier with that whole situation now! As for pain, there isn't any really. I think having the brace son makes me grind my teeth more at night though. Everyday I wake up, my jaw and teeth are really sore. Oh well. I'm noticing ...

hey guys! so this is the 5th day with braces and i am pretty much eating normally and i havent even used wax since the second day. no sores at all or even close to it! teeth in the front are still sensitive but not enough to where it prevent me from biting right into things. im eating normally and the ligs havent stained from anything! even mustard!!! bra es are still shiny and new! i'm brushing my teeth up to 5 times a day now!! as for brushing, i have had no problems at all! flossing with the ...

April 24th,2009:

today was full of pain! and i hate taking pills of any kind because im weird and i think all pills are poison in some way so ive only taken two tylenol all day and dealt with it the rest....my baby niece popping me in the mouth doesn't help either lol the tylenol is kicking in now and it's a little better but my teeth are so sore! but that means they're moving so i'm happy!

i got a little upset today because i called to reschedule my appointment ...

hey guys! today was the day!!! I only got the top brackets on today. my lower left side gave them a little more trouble than anticipated with fitting the molar bands and we ran out of time to put the bottom ones on before they closed. but thats okay! at least i have time to adjust to these first and besides, the ortho said it was probably best i didnt get the bottoms because of my overbite..i might have just bitten a bottom bracket right off. i was very disappointed not to be able to get it all ...
