The end of the road

So, my braces and I are about to part after being together for over 2 years. I've been through a lot these past 25 months and there's no doubt that I'm counting the days until I get them off.
About 4 days ago I got my last wire, referred to as the "finishing wire". My orthodontist said he just needs to adjust a few things, mostly pulling some of my bottom teeth down since some are sticking up too far. He put two finishing bends in during that appointment, which surprised me because the previous appointment he said he was just going to see how settled my teeth are with a thinner wire and no more power chain (I had a power chain for over 6 months to close some small gaps in my molars and to keep my elastics from giving me more gaps).
First finishing bends
I was thinking I'd be in my finishing wire for 3 months, but the assistant said they're trying to get my case finished by Easter. So that is about a month and three weeks away, if they finish when they want to.
My orthodontist mentioned how my right canine doesn't match my left and that my right needs to be tilted a little a few months ago, but he didn't mention moving that with finishing bends this time. I'll have to mention this to him when I go back in about a week (I see him every 2 weeks now). Might as well get it fixed now so I don't regret it.
So, for now I'm just waiting for this all to be over. Hopefully it goes by fast.![]()
