Nothing much, feel like my theets stoped moving (no great changes noticed recently exept previous post) and...AND i realized I have a bracket (is that the word for this little square piece?) missing...not really missing, its not sticking on the theet anymore, but still after the wire, soooooo im little bit anxious about that., Its right before xmast, my ortho on vacation till january SO , I want to know if:
#1-Its gonna stop my thoot from miving properly?
#2- I recently started to use LYSTERINE. You think its this who can make it fall?
#3- I also "chewed" a gum 2 weeks ago, but the thing broke this friday.....

Anyways, Since there is nothing I can do, Ill wait for you answers guy!

If the wire is still in front of your tooth, your tooth will not be actively moving by the archwire, but it also will not be affected too much. Give your ortho's office a call and leave a message. We usually don't fix broken brackets between appointments, which can be two or three months apart, with minimal affect and no delay in the overall treatment.

Listerine will not break a bracket. Listerine is a mouthwash and if it was to damage a bracket, then you'd not have any teeth left. Brackets break due to many reasons and mostly due to something the person is doing, but not necessarily intentional.

Chewing gum should not affect brackets ... but I guess the way you chew could affect the bracket. Chewing hard objects is usually the worst ... like the ends of pens and pencils.

Good luck with the progress that is happening ... even though you can't see it!

Hi thanks. I was more wondering if listerine would melt or affect the glue who hold brackets

Hey Jessica, I use Listerine on and off and only had one bracket snap off once. It was on the back left side and I'd been having nut clusters so that was entirely my fault. I called the office and they said not to worry and they'd fix it during the next visit. That was about a year ago and I've had no issues (or nut clusters) since
