It has been around 10 weeks since i last updated my journey... mainly because i couldn't get onto the site...... so i thought i would give a quick update.

Firstly, i have seen a great amount of movement and have been amazed at how quickly they moved in the first month, and how they continued to move in the last week!
I had incredibly crooked teeth and a very bad (well i thought it was) overbite. And being 6ft 3", most people have to look up to talk to me and the gap in my teeth looked hidious. Now, my top row is much more in line now and the confidence that has given me in immeasurable. However, the bottom row has come back, but has pushed a few teeth out of place as they were't locked in. My last appointment had the orthodontist replace my top wire with a thicker one, which should now start to bring the incisors back so that the overbite starts to shrink.However, He left the bottom wire as there is still some movement to be done. my next appointment should see them being locked in with a thinner wire and should start to come into line with the rest.



As for eating, i have been able to eat most foods so long as i use my molars and not my incisors, as they are very tender. However, i avoid eating toast (unless having with baked beans, which softens the toast) and other "crunchy" food.
I have managed to come off the red wine, thanks to some advice recieved on here, and now mainly drink either beer or white wine. I do try to drink more water though, as it is a lot healthier.

The pain has come and gone, but there is always at least 1 tooth which is sore. But that is good as it means it is working... so bring on the pain!!!
