My Braces Saga - Pt 2
Posted 08-27-2008 at 10:01 AM by Julie
At my first adjustment, the first week of July, I told Dr. Lehman again about the migraines I had been experiencing since the spacers went in and that I was in physical therapy for it and what could we do. He blew it off saying "you're teeth are moving... you're going to have pain." After that adjustment things got MUCH worse. The headaches got so bad that I could barely work (luckily, I'm self-employed and work at home). I barely left the house except to go see the chiropractor or for other drs appts. The pain was awful and I was taking migraine pain relievers daily (often more than once a day) to ease the pain.
Towards the end of July, my chiropractor finally had the thought that it might be a problem in my TMJ joint and started focusing on that which gave me some short term relief.
