Wow, it's been quite some time since I've blogged about my braces. The last time I was supposed to get elastics and didn't and got really discouraged, despite all of the progress I've made. Well I had my adjustment today and guess what, I got those elastics.

After not having them I was thinking that I was lucky and wouldn't need them, then *BAM* Dr. Ortho says "start her on class II elastics!"

Boo-urns. They kind of really suck and are quite painful. Oh well. I got the heavy "kangaroo" elastics. The picture on the bag is actually kind of cute. It's a kangaroo with a baby Joey in it's pouch and they both have boxing gloves on. Maybe the bag is trying to tell me something ... "get ready to feel like you got punched in the face"?

So yeah. I will post a picture of day one VS today. It's quite impressive the progress that's been made though. So that's good, right?

First of all, that pic of that cat is pretty effing precious and I love it.

Don't be sad about the pain; pain = movement, movement = good, so therefore: pain = good How much longer do you have left in your treatment?

Here's to the elastics do great work and your bite feeling loads better soon.

When you get elastics it's a good time to make sure your hydration levels are even better, as a dry mouth can rub on the elastics causing more annoying issues!

    Take care!

Welcome to the elastics club! I joined 2 weeks ago, and now I hardly feel any pressure. I don't even notice them in my mouth anymore! I agree with @abbaker pain = good I strangely miss the pain. I wish my elastics bag had an animal on it, mine is boring lol
