Well its been a bit over 9 months since I began my ortho journey. My teeth were overly crowded and I was not an invisalign candidate up front, so my treatment program was to start in braces, have them removed 7 months later for my wedding. Its been a while since I posted so I wanted to put down some of my thoughts as I am approaching my 1st adjustment this coming week. For me it took about a week to a week and a half to fully adjust to having braces. In particular I had to adjust to the molar build-up. I have had absolutely zero pain thus far and not even used any dental wax, but I think I have went through a ton of floss and threaders. Well I am not 48 hours into my treatment and so far is has been plainless, although I do feel sensitivity on my lower front teeth and I can feel a few teeth beginning to start to loosen up. The thing I am disliking the most is I had to have a buildup on my back molars to keep my teeth apart as I have a slight overbite that was just barely touching the bottom brackets. Well today was the day that my braces went on for hopefully 18-24 months according to the orthodontist. I went with In-Ovation Clear brackets on the top and In-Ovation regular brackets on the bottom. I am about 2 hours removed from the appointment and so far no pain, but I can definately feel the tension. Getting them placed on was a walk in the park and took about an hour and a half in all.
