So I see my countdown ticker slowly comeing close to the day I get Damon clears put on. Excited, nervous, really excited, really nervous! Gosh I don't recall feeling this way when I got them on as a kid, but then again braces as
a kids is "cool". Ah well, it is what it is, and here is so a fast treatment time and crossing my fingers to be out of them by the new year (he originally said 6-10 months but upon 2nd consult he said perhaps a bit longer, 6-12????).
I am very happy that I found this site and with my new iPhone I can check the forum several times a day! I feel like I have my "brace" buddies with me anytime Anywere and LOVE IT!!!
Hopefully bonding will be quick and easy, they have me booked in for 1.5 hrs!! ECM!
Ah well here is to this week going by fast.

Great your countdown is going quickly and you have such a positive attitude to starting your treatment!

Here's to the bonding going well and a good piece of advice is to make sure you have a good layer of lip balm on your lips before the process begins, especially if it's going to be a long session, which sounds like yours might be.

Good luck ... and keep looking forward to this process!

The time will come (and go) faster than you think!

I know what you mean about treatment time. I was told anywhere from nine months to one year, so I am settling on one year so that I don't get toooooooo antsy!

Good luck next week! To add to Sunny's always wonderful advice - drink extra water the day before and day of (!) your bonding as that can really help your body handle the stress - just like when flying long distances.

wow it sounds like im in for a marathon run..LOL
Is it normal to feel so excited and nervous at the same time? Like the biggest thing is ppl asking me why i had to get them again. I know ppl probably dont care about it as much as me, but still...
Got it girls, lip chap and lots of h20, no problem there. Ah I wish i can just get this over with!

Don't worry about what other's say ... this is something you're doing for yourself. I never told anyone before or after and hardly anyone has ever asked. I will talk to anyone who wants, but like most medical things ... for most people these subjects are revoltingly boring!

You've got it ... lip chapstick ... great hydration ... generous amounts of wax ... A1 oral hygiene!

I'm going to keep a tally of those ppl who notice. I work in a large hospital setting and know ppl from various floors. Will keep u posted.

Yes - CHAPSTICK is essential!!! Congrats on getting started - I love this board too! I learned so much after finding it about 5 months into treatment

Try not to overstress how long it will take to get through the process, it doesn't seem like anyone has the exact timeline pinned down yet!
