well, back to the dentist to have my first invisalign, was kinda nervous and excited. Had my attachments put on, he must of seen me looking a little scared when he came towards me with a syringe and needle but reassured me it was just gel to go on my teeth. Lots of tools and stuff needed first, was a little scared especially after my tooth out experience but no pain just a little uncomfortable. Also had my bottom teeth filed down a bit, that was the same a bit uncomfy but ok, glad when he was finished. So walked out with my first trays, no pain from them either just pressure (although I did take some pain killers before going in - just in case!). I went to work from the dentist which was probably a good thing I couldn't fiddle too much with them and hardly anyone noticed even though people knew I was having it done. Only one attachment is visible really but no one picked up on that til I showed them. Took it out for the first time about 4 hours later for a drink, That was the most painful part of the day, bottoms I coped with ok, but the top was a nightmare especially where I'd had the tooth out, (the dentist didn't take my remaining desolvable (sp?) stitches out either which I hoped he would.) They were so tight to actually get out and as my one tooth sticks out badly anyway getting it over that was awful, they hurt really badly when the brace was out too. I decided the removal warranted two cups of coffee as I have no plans to take them out again today! I was quite worried about getting them back in, but luckily (after cleaning my teeth - of course) they snapped back in quite easily. They did ache for a while after but I took some more pain killers and they soon settled down. They've stopped hurting now although I do keep playing with them with my tongue and thats sore now! Any suggestions on ways for me to stop doing this? I've tried making myself keep my tongue still when I notice I'm doing it, but still (even as I type) I'm constantly playing with it! My other issue is I can't stop thinking about FOOD!!!! I'm sure its only cause i can't have any with it in, but I don't normally eat at this time but tonight I'm starving!!!
Anyway time for a nights sleep and hoping these are a lot less painful to get out tomorrow!
But over alland just glad I don't have to go back to dentist for a few months

Wow seems so long ago that first day now! Don't even think about putting trays in and out now, not even new ones really :-)
