Week 66 - Bite update (with pics!!)

It's only been 2 weeks and I can see and feel a difference in my bite. Teeth are now touching that weren't touching before! I was wondering what my ortho had planned when he was tweaking my wire. Awesome! Even though my bite is INFINITELY better than before I had braces, he still wants to bring my lower teeth down more, which may require a wire change or something else. I might not be in my last wires now. Here are some pics!

Yeah, my clear power chain turned yellow :( I'm to the point where I don't really care anymore and I'm too lazy to make an appointment and go the ortho to get it changed. I go back in 4 weeks anyways! *shrug*

    WOW that is AMAZING!!! I see it for sure.

    I was like is that powerchain YELLOW LOL. I get it, I usually get silver but its gets NASTY by 6 weeks (the last 2 just are ugghhhh) But now I got Gray and I think its more noticeable but by this point who cares. I have elastics upside down triangles its not like these things are at all invisible.

    Now that I look at them I am hating the yellow! Anyone have any tips on a subtle power chain color that doesn't stain so bad? Or maybe I should stop eating sandwiches with mustard LOL

    Are they yellow? or were they clear to begin with? if it was yellow to begin with, I dont think it looks bad at all.

    You could always get hot pink like me ;) it's not as bright and crazy as you think. And the best part- hardly any colour change/ staining. (I'm trying to slowly convert everyone to hot pink chains haha.) Your progress is awesome!!

    Thanks guys! Yeah I have 3 more weeks until my adjustment/dental cleaning. The picture actually makes my bands look more yellow than they are, but they are still a light shade of yellow. I want to do pink, but I'm so chicken! lol

    Awesome progress photos!! They look great!! I was cautioned via reading posts before I got braces to beware of the clear powerchains for that very reason haha so when I was introduced to them 3 wks ago, while my ortho had his fingers in my mouth, lol- his assistant asked what color I wanted while dangling the container of rainbow bands. I remember mumblling "gway ohr sihvuh, whu ever it is" lol! I just uploaded my current photos in my Album on here (as well as the one I started in the Damon Braces thread) so if you'd like to see how they look it might give you an idea of their contrast. However, I went to my ortho 2 days ago to have a wire clipped and he went ahead and changed out my powerchains again. Wants me back in another 2 wks to do it again. I asked if it was damaging to change them every 2 wks and he said "Nope, just speedin along your progress. Elastic powerchains lose their strength every 2 weeks". Had I known I'm only in them 2 wks at a time, I would have opted for clear. Eh. LOL. Keep us updated! I love tracking your progress!!!
