Week 82 - 11th Adjustment WITH PICS!!!! :)

I went to my 11th adjustment today and my ortho was happy about my gaps being closed! Now he is going to work on closing my open bite on the right side. He put a thicker wire on top (yay....) and made some kinks in my upper and lower wire to try and bring my teeth together. My upper teeth should come down a little and my lower teeth need to come up a little. I hope these wires work their magic fast!

I was HOPING I was done with power chains since I had 3 power chains in my mouth the last 6 weeks. It looks like I only need 1 on my upper teeth this time. Thank goodness! The assistant asked me what color I wanted and I asked if they had a really LIGHT pink, but I think she misunderstood me because she came back with a really BRIGHT pink! No way I was putting a bright pink power chain in my mouth! So I just asked for clear. I'll have to really stay away from staining foods this time.

The blue molar build up has ground down so much it doesn't even affect my bite anymore!

    Goodness I am sooo jealous! Your Blog is all happy and mine is all sad. LOL! Man your teeth look so good! My arches are nowhere NEAR that wide! Double jealous!!! LOL

    Lookin' great, girlie!! It's so funny - my open bite is on my left side, and looks JUST like yours does on the right side. And your front view looks JUST like mine, except my teeth are higher on the left, instead of the right. That's where the resemblance ends, though. I agree with BlondeAddiction - your arches are so WIDE and a lovely U-shape! I would love for mine to look like that. But I think it's a family trait, as I have 3 siblings and a nephew with the same arches as I do.

    Pretty soon, we will all be debraced!

    Just a bit of an open bite on right like me. Are you using elastics to close it up??

    Thanks everyone!! If you looked at my before braces pic my arch was so narrow! I don't believe how wide it is now.

    I thought I would use elastics, but my ortho put tweaks in my wire to try and close up my bite. We'll see how that goes!

    DUDE great pics! Is it weird to compliment someone on their arches? You have beautiful arches haha :P Gettin' close!!!
