I had an adjustment appointment, and got the shock of my life when my ortho said that I probably only have one or two months left! I could be out of these bad boys by the new year! I hadn't been asking about my time line at my latest appointments ... I honestly didn't want to know, and just wanted him to take his time, so I had no idea how close to the end I was!

Right now, we are waiting to close one gap, (my upper left) and for one of my roots to move just a tweak more. Once that has been done, it's retainer time!

I got all but two of my torquing springs removed today (yay!) and a giant e-link (it's like a power chain) added to my top row to close everything up tight. It goes from one banded molar all the way to the other, and it was hard to get on. Not to mention that it's clear, so I'm sure it will be a lovely shade of yellow by this time next month. My teeth have been getting progressively more sore after my appointment, and I had to take some Advil just to get through dinner. It's been a while since my teeth have been sore. Honestly, it's nice to FEEL some progress!

I know you guys want pictures! You can kind of see the glare off the e-link between my two front teeth in the first one. In the second, you can see the gap that needs to be closed, right under the loop in the top wire.
