Today is my six month anniversary in braces! (queue celebratory music)

I can't believe it's already been six months. This means that one third of my treatment is done!

I took some pictures on Friday, so I could compare my midline progress, but I think I must have forgotten to turn on the macro setting on my camera, because all the pictures were much blurrier than usual. Either way, lets compare:

Week 25 (my top teeth should be shifting to the right)

Week 23

Honestly, I don't really see a difference in midline positioning at all ... I have an ortho appointment in two weeks, so we'll see what the verdict is then. I think shifting all of your teeth over is something that might take more than a few months to see results, but I'll be sure to get the skinny at my appointment.

Your bite is looking loads better, but it's difficult to see if your midline has changed.

Good luck with your next appointment!

CONGRATS 6 months already!!! I can't wait to get there. Your teeth are looking good, I can't tell about the midline, sometimes I look in the mirror and from day to day my bite looks different, better or worse, always different.

WOW your braces are clear, do people notice them much??

    Thanks guys!

Sunny, my bite is always changing ... I pretty much stopped trying to figure it out haha

Elle, my teeth were very crowed like yours on the bottom (I just took a look through your album) yours are already making progress!

The ceramics I have a pretty darn invisible (thank God!) when I first got them, a few people at my office came up to me and said "hey, I thought you were getting your braces put on a few days ago? what happened?" It wasn't until I smiled wide and told them to look closely that they noticed. However, my wire is getting thicker with each change, so it's more noticeable now than it was at the beginning. Still no complaints though!

Yeah actually they're going to play with your bite probably up until your debanding. I'm just waiting for one gap to close and my treatment is done and yet the ortho says he still wants to play with the bite. I told him no. The bite is fine. The midline is on, the teeth line up, and I'm DONE with adjustments. Close this gap and get these things off my teeth. In the past 23 months I've seen a lot of crazy things happen with my bite, as will you!

Denise, thanks for the heads up! I stopped nitpicking once I realized how quickly/often things will change!

Good luck with the end of your treatment!
