I had my first "emergency" ortho visit last week. I had noticed that the bonding material on my upper left canine felt rougher than usual (like there was a lip, or edge there that wasn't there before) and when I went to inspect with my finger, the bracket moved! It was still attached to the wire/banding, but somehow the bonding had come un-stuck to my tooth, and the bracket was able to slide around. I called my ortho immediately, and they were able to squish ...
So, it's officially happening! I have made my braces appointments! August 17th I'll be getting my spacers put in to separate my molars (ouch) and then on the 19th I'll be going back for the actual braces. I'm so grateful that I only have to wear the spacers for a couple of days. I know they can be killer, and some people have to wear them for longer! Everything is pretty surreal right now.
