I had my third adjustment appointment this past Monday.

It went well, and my ortho was very pleased with my progress (I think he actually said that my case might be the fastest movement he's ever seen) My bite has been getting better and better, thanks to these little pink rubber bands, and I'm *almost* edge to edge! I'm still wearing the bands, but under strict instruction to stop wearing them if my top teeth move inward too much.

I also got my last four brackets put on! This was exciting, as it closed up my exposed wires, so it actually makes for a more comfortable braces experience. The four teeth I got bracketed were sore for a couple of days, but they haven't bothered me since. I'm excited to see what, if any changes this brings about.

My bottom teeth are getting more and more spaced out. (as are all of my teeth really ... ) I was a little concerned about it, but my ortho said that we'll still need to fine tune things down the road, so I shouldn't worry about it just yet.

I'm also happy (ecstatic actually) to report that my front teeth are now living side by side! No more overlap. Not even a little. YAY!

I know I've been slacking with the progress pictures, but frankly, they've been pretty boring (I'm still taking them, just not posting) not much to show from week to week at this point. I might have to start posting monthly updates!

WOW! Your progress is amazing! Congratulations; you must be so pleased.

My teeth moved very quickly as well - although not as fast as yours! Not to be discouraging, but keep that in mind when it is time for retention. I was told teeth that move quickly into their proper places may decide to move just as quickly back into their improper places without appropriate retention. That being said, I am sure you plan on retainers for life, so all will be well!

    Congratulations, and keep smiling!

    Thanks Phantom!

I'm going to be doing torquing treatment to move the roots of my teeth in a few months (to help with retention later)

And yes, I also plan to be super diligent about retainer wear when the time comes. NO WAY am I ever going through all this again! I've worked hard to get my perfect smile, and I plan on keeping it that way! haha

Awesome! If this was a 1950's childrens primer the story would read:

    ---------

Zoom down go the canines. See the canines go Zoom. Fast. Quick. Down.

Out come the teeth. See the teeth come out. Positioned. Happy teeth.

Straighten teeth. Straighten. Good solid teeth.

    ---------

Very inspiring. Happy for you lileepers!

i'm not really looking forward to the rest of my treatment, when nothing visible happens for months at a time, but so be it! haha

@mzkimx3 - if you've got a lot of crowding etc, you will see fast progress for sure
