Today is 5 months and 5 days since I got my braces put on. February 19th will make 6 months! (I know this because the day I got them on, I went into my calendar and marked off 6 months, 12 months and 18 months) I feel like I should do something to celebrate, but I can't really think of what would be appropriate.

I'm still in the same getup as my last post, only my ligatures are a lot more dingy since my last entry. ha. For some reason, I've been consuming more "stain-y" food than usual this month. I believe my first meal after my adjustment was pasta with red sauce, for crying out loud! Fortunately, my next adjustment appointment is just a couple of days away, and I'm going to ask to have all my ligatures swapped out for new ones, even if I don't get a new wire.

A few new things to report:

* The gap between my lower two front teeth has finally closed up!
* Unfortunately, it didn't really close up evenly, so now my midlines don't really line up. My midline has (and always will be) a little off, but now the bottom is totally out of whack. I will have to take this up with my ortho on Wednesday, and see what the plan is. Hopefully there is one!
* My extraction gaps are closing up quite nicely. Both of the top ones are just about closed up. The bottom left (which was the biggest) has been lagging behind. Hopefully my ortho will put a tighter e-link on it to get it moving along.
