Weeks 2 - 4 were pretty tame. No major pain aside from a few sore teeth every once in a while.

My upper teeth have continued to move steadily (I really can't believe how fast they can move!) and smiling is easier now that my "fangs" have moved down considerably - I haven't had to wax them all week. They are *almost* even with the rest of my teeth! I didn't think it was possible!

My two front teeth are slowly moving apart too! I had to have some bonding done on the right one (my right) a while back, and I can feel the edge of the bonding on the back of my tooth now, when it was flush before.

I have my first adjustment appointment next Tuesday. There may be a new wire in my future!

Pre Braces

Week 4

The closeups are much more exciting this time:

Day One

Week 2

Week 4 - muchhhh improved on the top.
The bottom has been slower to move, but look at the space between my front two bottom teeth!

That's awesome! :D Congrats! I'm getting my braces in a couple days. That's exciting to see that your upper teeth moved so quickly. They looked pretty similar to what mine look like now :)

Thanks Mike! I can hardly believe it myself! I want to see an update!

Stephie, you will probably see some fast movement also! I highly recommend taking weekly pictures so you can track your movement.

Thanks Phantom, I really am. My ortho told me that my teeth would straighten out quickly, but I had no idea it would be this fast!

Wow ... outstanding progress lileepers! Both your arches show heaps of changes!

The alignment stage is usually the most exciting ... and your teeth are showing heaps of great progress! :thumb:

Wow! they are looking great! I hope they continue to move quickly! Do you have to wear rubber bands? I was wondering because, my right fang tooth is up a little to high, but my ortho said I'd need to wear rubber bands to fix it, however, I'm thinking since yours fixed itself in such a short amount of time, perhaps I'll have the same luck! Can't wait to see updated pics of your teeth! :D

Heidi, I just got back from my first adjustment, and I was given rubber bands to "open my bite" but I didn't have to wear any to assist with bringing my fangs down. I hope they can move yours without them!

Yay.. I hope my ortho turns out to be as great as yours seems! Because I chose not to get bottoms for now.. and not sure how much those button things would cost.. But I'm hoping it moves down on its own, like yours have. They are looking great! how long do you have to have them on for?

the more crowded/crooked your teeth, the faster you will see progress. good luck on your treatment!
