I find the video confusing, as there's no real flossing happening, the Bryton Pick is doing the same job as a toothpick. Flossing is about moving floss down the side of each tooth, to just below the gum, then up again. then down the side of the tooth beside the one you've just done and so on. Of huge importance is the cleaning of the area just below the gum, to help prevent gum disease.

Does the Bryton Pick work as flossing does, or is it just a great tooth pick?

PS ... still nothing in my mail.

Hi Sunny!
I will try to be brief; BRYTONPick is a kind of Interdental space cleaner...like floss, but also like a pick...
Actually most toothpicks will not go fully between teeth...that is why bryton is flat and thin as floss.
Plaque does not originate below the gum line, rather between teeth and on their surface. As bacterium multiplies, it can move into periodontal pockets and spaces under the gums – that is where serious problems begin. It is almost like dealing with it after it becomes a problem…so Bryton tackles bacteria causing food debris and plaque before it has a chance to spread under the gums. Bryton will remove the food debris(and plaque) between teeth, thereby limiting the amount or plaque that can form and travel into the gums...so for flossers it is a great supplement during the day, when there is no time to floss, and for those that don't it is a great alternative. You can massage your gums with Bryton.
Yes, it is important to clean under the gums also, that can be done with regular floss.
People wearing braces have an especially hard time flossing because it is so time consuming, and normally will not floss directly after a meal, especially when at school at work. With braces all you have to do is swipe from behind the braces after a meal or snack. No need to use a threader when you need a quick cleaning; with bryton the wire is no longer an obstacle and it isn’t a hassle to clean your teeth...
I hope that helps! Feel free to ask any questions!
Thanks!

btw, that me doing the voice over!

P.S.
Technically ‘Floss’ is anything the cleans between teeth (according to the ADA)…we also use the word floss so it doesn’t confuse the consumer on what the product ‘does’, it isn’t really a pick because of the motion needed to use it…

It looks like all its doing is getting food out of inbetween your teeth. Which is awesome if your out and about. But what stores can you find the BrytonPick in? Would it be in Wal-Mart? Or is only avaliable online?

Thanks Michael for the explanation.

I thought it was working well between teeth, but it was the use of the word 'flossing' that had me confused, as although the ADA might state that cleaning between the teeth can be called flossing, anyone in the industry knows that's inaccurate.

I think it will be excellent for cleaning between the teeth, as it's slimmer and more versatile than the pick-a-dents I've been buying from America for the past three years.

I hope my Bryton Pick arrives soon ... it usually only takes a week or two for mail to get here ... not months, so I'm not sure what has happened.
