Not too much to report. Still waiting for some of the gaps to close, but I noticed they are closing slowly. I've been doing a lot of fishing (for anyone who cares) and working. My next adjustment appointment isn't until Jan 2011. Here are some pics: IMG_0280.jpg week15.jpg Taken Today: IMG_0326.jpg
Here is an update with pictures... As you can see my teeth and bite have gotten worse as expected. In order to get all teeth straight and within the arch, the ortho does not focus so much on the bite, rather getting ready for surgery. My last ortho tried to hide the underbite I have by forcing teeth in directions they didn't want to go, so my current ortho is lining them up correctly as they should be... So i expect to develop even more of an underbite over the next couple months. I should ...
Had my adjustment today.... My wire was upgraded and powerchain was put on the bottom front teeth in order to close some gaps. otherwise, not much to report. My bite has gotten a bit worse, but this was expected. I'll post some pictures in about 2 weeks. My next appointment isn't until Jan 2011. I'll be 6 months in then! its going by pretty fast
Adjustment went very smooth. I was started with an intermediate wire, so it was left in and powerchains were added on both top and bottom. The goal is to close the spaces over the next 6 weeks and then I will be moving towards the surgical wires. I'll do another update in a couple weeks to show what the powerchains have done to close the spaces. Here are some pics: Photo on 2010-09-28 at 14.jpg Day Before Adjustment sept-28-2010.jpg ...
Things are going as expected. My bite has gotten a bit worse, but this is very common as we are working on straightening the teeth within the arch at this point. It is a slow gradual change, so doesn't bother me much at all. Still flossing is the biggest PIA, but I sit in the bathroom and take my time to do it several times per week. It is interesting that certain teeth hurt for a few days (sign of movement) here 6 weeks out. My ortho is doing adjustments every 8 weeks and was very clear ...
Just thought i'd do a quick update while waiting to head out to dinner. I'm a bit over 3 weeks in. I see a few small little changes, but really haven't been looking. Been focusing on good hygiene more or less. I use a waterpik daily. My sink is pretty gross to say the least... I'm overall pretty happy with the ceramics... I look forward to my next adjustment.... Well, I had my braces on a few days before I noticed a loose bracket. Called my ortho and got an appointment right away.. They had me in and out in about 10 minutes and back in business. Def not in as much pain as the first few days and eating pretty normally again. I'll tell you what, when you have a great doctor and staff, the process can be enjoyable
Well, I got them on. A little nervous at first, as I am a huge commitment phob and committing to a year of this is not up my ally. But I know it will fly by, just as the time has that I have been putting this off. I got ceramics on top and bottom and the process was a bit different than I remember. The braces come preset, so instead of doing them 1 by 1, they just all go on at once. I'm sure I'll be sore tonight, but no pain right now and I remember this feeling all too well. ...
March 4, 2010 Met with Doctor John j. Marchetto, D.M.D. to discuss TMJ symptoms and fixing my bite. I am equally concerned with my Class 3 Bite Occlusion as I am with the TMJ symptoms I am having. A friend and past patient referred me to the doctor (she had jaw surgery). Initially I was impressed with the office and the easy check in system via computer along with a short wait time. The doctor really had his practice fine-tuned and as a businessman I can tell when someone takes ...
