So this week I've been busy. I had my post op appointment with my surgeon on Tuesday. After her being afraid to come in the room since she thought I was gonna kill her from all the bruising and soreness, I was told I was doing great and wouldn't need to see her again until my next surgery for my lower jaw. She did say she knew it was going to be bad for me. She wasnt even done with the surgery and I was already bruising and swelling so she thought there may be some bleeding so she made a few more incisions just to make sure and there weren't. My surgery was set for 10 and after being and hr delayed I was done by 3 and then home by 4:45. It took a week to get swelling down I still have slight bruising but def not as bad and the surgeon said I wasnt her worst, she had one before that looked like she hit this guy in the face with a 2 by 4.

Anyways stitches are dissolving and tasting gross I seem to keep finding more and more. Got good news from the ortho today since they want to see me weekly to make sure bonding is still good on the palate expander. After a few shocking looks when both the husband and wife checked in on me, since they thought I would still be covered in bruising I was told I have til wednesday to continue to turn the expander twice a day. My teeth line up now without counting the effect of overcrowding on bottoms. The also said upper braces will be put on in December after Thanksgiving so I could eat. But I will feel the burns of powerchains to close what they called a 'sexy' gap in 2 frotn teeth from the palate expander and thats a 6 mm gap i believe or something, enough for another front tooth.

But i'm been on a soft food diet again post op with jello, ice cream, pudidng since my bite is weird and teeth were sensitive I tried to keep it easy, now I'm relearning how to chew, it sucks lol. Since swelling is down once i can find batteries pictures will be posted to show off this "sexy' gap i have

my ortho hasnt told me exactly when my mom seems to think in a yr but in a yr my braces are off i thought the braces needed to hold the teeth in place. my jaw in being moved forward not sure if that'll replace elastic wear or cause of my crossbite or for my tmj or a mix of all 3

You will need your braces on to help hold your teeth after surgery and also after surgery your teeth need fine tuning.

It's great that your treatment is continuing to go well! Good luck!
