5-16-2012.jpg Ha. I guess I might as well have some fun while being a dork. This adjustment, they put three powerchains on 3 of the canines, to work on closing up the gaps! I just posted my progress photos on my profile in the albums!

For some reason, my lower left brackets are really irritating my cheek. I have puffy area of my cheek the size of a penny... and my cheek is really sore. It started yesterday, I figured it was just from the backet, and would just put some wax on it, and it would go away. All the other cheek irriation I have had was just minor scraping of my cheeks, and didnt get puffy. I actually looked in my mouth this morning, and it looked like an open sore, and my cheek is visibly puffy from the outside. Hopefully ...

3302012.JPG Canine's finally in jail with the rest. I just hate how it's pulling my incisor. That gap happened the first day! Oh, and the powerchain across the lower teeth hurt really bad (for the first 2 days- it's ok now).

Before: 1-4-20122.jpg My canine is moving! Yay. Next week, I'm pretty sure they will run the wire through the canine this time. Ouch though. Today: canine 3-20-2012.jpg
For my second adjustment, they wanted to put the wire through my canine, but it's still too far toward the middle, the wire would have had to go straight down to meet the next inscisor. So, this adjustment is soley focusing on shifting the canine to a "better position". Ugh, I have a feeling I'll be in braces for longer than 2 years already. I think he could have put a stronger chain attachment, this one is really thin, thinner than the ones he put on my bottom canines in the first adjustment. ...
Before 1-4-20122.jpg jan10.jpg Yesterday: IMAG0213-1.jpg Sometimes I swear it's at least come DOWN getting closer to the wire. But I don't really remember what it was like before either. The angle of the photo is different and that makes it hard too! feb7.jpg

People are right, when you can't see the progress unless you study the photos. My lower teeth are showing the most, because they had power chains. I am assuming because I had a slight cross bite, they needed to correct the bottom more before correcting the top. Im amazed. I didn't think my lower left canine was even moving. There is no gap like the right side, but apparently, it's moved inward. Here's before: The lower row almost in a straight line ...

Since my first adjustment, I have not noticed that much change. Just slight gaps by 2 of my canines. As I'm reading getting more acquainted with the different types of braces, I am wishing I had gone with Damon. Grr.
I have only had my first adjustment since the 4th, but I am noticing 3 of my canines moving (there's gaps!), it is the 4th canine that I am most worried about. I am anxious to find out if it's actually going to move, or if it's ankylosed (fused to the bone). The canine is not in the wire with the rest of the teeth, it's just got a band attached to it. jan10.jpg I am not sure this band is even going to move this thing. Anyone know ...

Before: 389914_577199975904_144301146_32072523_2092485917_n.jpg Current: 394508_582660123724_144301146_32099788_102346398_n.jpg I am not liking that one upper middle tooth is now hanging lower. I hope this doesn't get worse. My upper canines are not even lose, and I think they're going to be very tough and painful to ...

..but I can't. All I feel is creaking, and pulsing in my teeth as they attempt to move. So freaking annoying. It always is worse when I am trying to sleep.
Got my wires in place with 2 power chains and 2 bands.
Brackets have been on for a month, and teeth were pulled 3 weeks ago. Seriously cannot wait until Wednesday to get my official wires on and tightened. My teeth have been hitting each other constantly. I have been accidentally hitting my chin on things and consequently hitting my top teeth feeling like I knocked them loose. At night, I can't sleep because I am clenching my teeth together, resulting in sore front teeth because my 1st pre molars prevented this which are no longer there.
Ok so I cant believe I haven't mentioned this, but I dread going to bed since two weeks ago. My front teeth have shifted in a way thay makes closing my teeth painful. I tend to clench my teeth at night so I tried temporary fixes such as putting a q tip across my bite. That worked the first night, but then I woke up and some teeth were sore. Then I tried biting on a towel at night. That helped, but of course that meant my mouth was open and my teetn were dry waking up. ...
