Hi--great that you have something definite to look forward to! Although I wanted to get braces everyday for the last 20 years...the only waiting part I actually had, I'd say...was when I made my appointment in Aug of 08 for my consult. My consult was scheduled in October at my request..as this is when my husbands insurance elections were to be made so I needed to know the cost so I could specify the amount of money to set aside. It felt like forever just to get to October, and then I was not able to get them on until Jan 2...so 3 months more waiting. All at my request though...I had to wait til the new year to use my medical spending account so I made my appointment for the first day they were open--Jan 2. They did all my molds and stuff then I went back Jan 5th and got the braces on!!! It has felt like forever....20 years of wanting, then it got harder when it was becoming more definite.... Good luck pearly!!
Now the hardest part is waiting for the 8 weeks between appointments to go by!

I had to weight about six weeks, as I had to go to the dentist to have a couple of fillings replaced and a general check, to my hygienist for a cleaning and to see a perio before my brackets were applied. My ortho rang a single person practice then, and he booked me in, but requested my dentist, hygienist and perio to send him reports.

I used this time to get my little 'go anywhere bag' together, and to gather consumables I'd read I'd use when I had braces. It was a great start, as it meant I had plenty of stuff, and I think it was a year before I had to buy interdental brushes, and oral b superfloss.

Good luck counting down your sleeps!

Funny you mention a bag Sunny as I wrote a list yesterday of what i should keep at home, work and in my bag for when i get my invisalign! Whats in yours? Is there anything you bought then realised it wasn't necessary?
