I had my second archwire put on last week. It was a little painful, but nor so bad. The funny thing is that again, just like after my braces were put on, one of my upper most front teeth got misaligned in relation to its neighbor, so now they look crooked, which they were not in the beginning of the treatment (see pics in my album). Last time when it happened the Ortho changed one of the brackets and they went back to normal. I don't understand why it happened again. Does anyone know what would make it crooked again if it was just the wire that was changed? Maybe Sunny can help me with excellent explanations. And it all happens so fast, they went from aligned to crooked in a matter of hours!

As for spinach, that should be included in the list of foods that people with braces can't eat. No hard candy, no chewy foods, and no cooked spinach!! It just gets all stuck to your braces and good luck cleaning it all out (specially if you have lingual braces like me...)

Happy Holidays to all,

I eat spinach and silverbeet several times a week, one coz it grows so easy and two coz I love it. I drink water while eating and have never had a problem with it staying hooked to my hardware. I hope things get easier for you Pepper!

I can't find your photos, so I'm not sure what your teeth look like. Talk to your ortho about the movement, but if it's that fast, then it has to be directly linked to the archwire putting pressure in that way to get your arch to round correctly.

Teeth going in and out of alignment is quite the norm during ortho treatment, due to a variety of pressures being exerted on them or other teeth to achieve the desired result.

    Good luck!

My teeth were aligned funnily after my wire was replaced and it turns out my bite was being opened. They'd settled back into place by the next appt.

But if this happened the first time and the doc fixed it your mouth may not be my mouth

Spinach always gets caught in my back hardware too. The resulting rinse and spit can be quite gross!
