So, I'm a couple days behind with this post - sorry. I had my adjustment on Tuesday, October 12. The ortho removed and left off the upper power chains as he wants them to "hang out" to see if they are good to go before removing the top brackets.

I had a "closed" power chain put on from the bottom left fourth tooth to the right seventh tooth and had an impression made of the bottom teeth for a permanent retainer. My right sixth & seventh teeth were a bit sore/tender on Tuesday evening but everything was back to normal by yesterday.

The bottom teeth will be debanded on October 26 at which time I will have the permanent retainer applied from the bottom left third tooth to the right third tooth and a space retainer between the bottom left fourth tooth and the bottom sixth tooth until I have my implant done in early January 2011 (to take advantage of my Flexible Spending for 2011).

Can you tell I'm happy?
