Sorry I have been MIA (all due to the holidays).

My last adjustment was actually done on Wednesday, December 23. The ortho changed the top power chain to one that "opens" and put a power chain on the bottom teeth. The rubber bands remain the same strength (sea lion). Of course, I have no idea what the terminology means - I just do what the experts tell me to do.

Well, by reading my blog so far, you probably realized that I have been very lucky as far as pain. This time around I really felt "pain" on the bottom teeth as this was the first time I had a power chain put on. I did not take any pain killers (probably high pain threshold). The "pain" lasted until Christmas Day so it wasn't too bad. I was back to eating normally by the end of Christmas Day.

Here I was wondering when and if if my midline discrepancy on the bottom would be corrected. Well, bottom midline is about 0.5 mm off at the moment.

The ortho mentioned to me that the bite is coming quite nicely so I am progressing quite well (much to my surprise).
