My adjustment today went well (as usual). The wire on top had to be snipped a bit as it seems the teeth are moving closer together . I know that there is some root movement is going to take place with this adjustment (based on what I heard the ortho tell the assistant).

I am feeling a bit of pressure on the top but nothing major. 4 more months to go.

    Horray!! Was this your last wire change? I also have anywhere from 2-4 months left (just depends on how fast these things move). Sounds exciting that we are all getting so close to being done! Pretty soon we can start posting on the 'Braces Off' section of the forum!!

    Fantastic ... here's to those four mouth flying by!

    Root movement is the important stuff, coz without that your teeth will move, even with retainers.

    Denise - I have no clue if this is the last wire change. I go back on August 14. LOL about the "braces off" section. I'm looking forward to that day. I have to schedule an MRI with my periodontist some time around mid-December to check the bones/jaw as I have to do an implant on the lower left side. When I get past the implant healing, I will have peace of mind.

    Sunny - if you asked me in May 2009 if I thought time would fly this fast, I would have asked you if you lost your marbles. I can remember wondering if I would ever give up the dental wax or being able to floss / clean my teeth quicker than 30 minutes.
