I have been MIA as I had problems logging in but that seems to be resolved now.

The wire in my upper left molar all the way in the back moved a bit during the last week prior to my recent adjustment. It actually came out of the bracket a tiny but so I know this adjustment would be a doozy.

I got my recent adjustment on Tuesday, April 6 and some bends were put into the top wire . The wire on the bottom was changed to a stronger wire. I didn't feel much when I initially had the wire in but by Tuesday night, I felt like I was back to square one but without the blisters.

I could not bite down. When I did, I thought I saw stars. As long as I didn't bite down, I was fine and the presurre was tolerable without pain medication. The sensitivty finally subsided on Saturday so I am back to eating normally. I am still wearing an elastic bad from the top right incisor to the bottom left incisor at nights but a weaker strength.

My next adjustment will be on Tuesday, May 4 at which time my ortho will do a panoramic xray to check to see what roots need to be moved. I told him I didn't like the sound of that but he said not to worry. By the next adjustment I will be 10 days from my 1 year braces anniversary. I anticipate I will be out of these babies by my November 2010 adjustment or early December 2010. Then, I go for a pre-molar implant on the lower left side.

Great that your ortho is checking where the roots of your teeth are ... take that to be a positive, as most ortho's do this when teeth are getting close to where they want them to be ... but they want to make sure the roots of those teeth are doing the same.

Sorry that things didn't feel real good after your adjustment, but great everything is back to usual now.

Here's to loads of progress before your next adjustment!
