Stronger rubber bands

I just had my adjustment and the wires and power chain will remain the same but I graduated to stronger rubber bands (Seal). At least today I don't feel the kind of pressure I felt 6 weeks ago. I do feel the pressure from the rubber bands being a bit stronger since I skipped the medium strength bands.

Before I went in to see my ortho today, I felt as though the brackets on my upper left molars were shoved into my gums so at least I know there is movement going on. I had to put some wax in that area.

My ortho says that all the work from hereon will be with the rubber bands. I also checked when I will have to do my implant (on the lower left) and he said about 3-4 months before the ortho work is complete.

Lucky me.

Great your elastics are working so well Phoenix. It's good to get the stronger ones and see what they can achieve.

    Here's to more great progress!

Rubber bands are awesome!!! I don't know where mine stand in the strength department--mine are dolphins but they do amazing things...my bite has changed SO much, my teeth now sit on top and don't overlap my bottom teeth. When I started, my top teeth covered 1/2 of one bottom row bracket and another one entirely (thanks to a repositioned bracket, that was fixed) and NOW, you can not only see the entire bottom brackets when I bite down but pretty much my entire bottom row---and this is all do to those amazing little rubber bands. I can't believe so many people can be non compliant (mostly the younger people--LOL--the ones who are not paying for treatment themselves, but rather mom and dad) I wear mine 24 hours a day, and change them all the time...been wearing them for 4-5 months that way...and the changes are huge!!! I love them!!
