I just came back from a scheduled adjustment. As I mentioned in the last post or two, an x-ray was scheduled today as well as the adjustment. My ortho says my jaw bones and teeth/roots look fantastic so it was time to play with the roots. I was happy to hear that the condition of my bones / teeth were just fine and the bite is looking great.

The moment of sheer joy was fleeting as I heard the ortho mentioning the various adjustments he was doing. Of course I don't remember what he said except that I need not use the elastic from the upper right 3 tooth to the lower left 3 tooth at night. I am only using the very light elastic from the upper left 3 tooth to the bottom left 6 tooth and that is 24 hours a day.

As of right now, I am not feeling any tenderness - just slight pressure / tightness. My orther did warn me that this time the tenderness will likely be more than ever before as the adjustments are now directed at the roots.

Time for comfort food ... at least that's my excuse.

Next adjustment is in 6 weeks on June 22.
