I have finally uploaded the pictures of my teeth after braces. It has been hard work moving from Birmingham to Plymouth, but we are now starting to get sorted and enjoying being back

After the braces were removed my teeth were really sore and sensitive. They felt really strange, like they weren't my teeth anymore. It took a few weeks for them to feel normal again. I am really happy with the results, I could have stayed in the braces longer as the ortho wanted ...

So yesterday was the big day

I was so nervous before my appointment. I thought they were going to say the brace had to stay on for longer or they weren't going to be able to get it off. The ortho had a quick look at them and to my relief said we could take them off.

The wires were really hard to get out, then they used some clip thing that pulled off the brackets, I seriously thought my teeth were gonna get chipped. But they were all off within seconds. Then came ...

Thought I'd just do a quick mid month update.

Well I've been wearing the elastics just at night and the one small gap that I did have has now closed. So all being well theres no reason that the de-bracing shouldn't go ahead on the 7th April, Yay I'm trying not to get my hopes up to much in case the ortho says for some reason they can't come off, but I really, really hope they do. I keep looking at my teeth trying to imagine what there going to look like when the brace comes off. ...

I haven't done a post for my last adjustment as last week we had some very sad news. Our gorgeous little dog, Jasmin had to be put to sleep after 14 and half years. She was mine and my boyfriends little baby and losing her has been the worst thing that has ever happened to us.

She was such a fighter, she had a cancerous tumor on her leg 7 years ago and had to have her ...

My 11th adjustment was on 3rd December. The ortho says the bands are doing the job well. I have only taken the bands out when brushing my teeth and changing them over. They are quite annoying but I'm getting use to them now. We had to switch to smaller bands because of how much my teeth have moved, which is always good :-)

I asked the ortho how long he reckoned there was left. Now originally it was suppose to be 18 to 20 months which would take us to April 2010 at the lastest. I thought ...

The pain only lasted a few days, I still have a slight feeling of pressure on the front teeth, but I can only see this as being a good thing, as it shows they must be doing something.

I can eat with the elastics on and have only taken them out to brush my teeth and to change the bands over. However I am finding that everything I eat is getting alot more stuck in between the brackets which is quite annoying.

My appointment was a few days ago. All went well. The ligs were changed and the brace tightened and elastics added from the top hooks to the bottom hooks. The ortho said they are concentrating on closing the bottom gaps, then the top and then it will be just some fine tuning. Sounds promising but I wont get my hopes up just yet.

I turned up to the office dressed head to toe in pink, the ortho said I could have matching elastics, I did think about it, how cool would pink elastic be ...

I hate it when theres only a few days left for the next adjustment. It just never seems to come fast enough. My ligs seriously need changing, although I have been making the most of it by eating lots I wouldn't normally. Spaghetti Bolognaise tomorrow, my favourite

I really want the next appointment to come but I'm so dreading getting the bands, everyone keeps telling me their nothing to worry about, I just hope there right.
