My 11th adjustment was on 3rd December. The ortho says the bands are doing the job well. I have only taken the bands out when brushing my teeth and changing them over. They are quite annoying but I'm getting use to them now. We had to switch to smaller bands because of how much my teeth have moved, which is always good :-)

I asked the ortho how long he reckoned there was left. Now originally it was suppose to be 18 to 20 months which would take us to April 2010 at the lastest. I thought things were going well so you can imagine my disappointment when he said June 2010. I know its only an extra couple of months but I had told myself April would be the worse case scenario, so when he said June I was really upset. I'm also moving away from Birmingham in April to move back to Plymouth, so it means having to come back up for a good few adjustments. I told the ortho this and he has said that he will try his best to get it done for April. He has changed my appointments from ever 5-6 weeks to 3-4 weeks. Not sure why they couldn't do this before, but at least I've told them now so lets hope we can get them off for April. I didn't think they had moved that much, but when I've just compared the pics below you can see how much the gaps have closed. The gap on one side is nearly gone. I was concerned that one gap is bigger than the other but the ortho assures me they will sort this.

My next appointment is Jan 7th, so lets hope they do lots of moving over christmas. It has made me more determined to keep the bands in all the time. I did think about taking them out over christmas so that you couldnt see them in pictures, but this has made me realise I need to keep them in as much as possible.

I didn't do to well with stopping them from staining this month so must be more careful. I will wait till christmas before I start indulging, as the ligs will be changed shortly after. I have quite a few sores again this month, think my mouth must be adjusting to the new positions again. The pain was not to bad this time, I have been able to eat fine, just have this constant pressure feeling on my front teeth, but I can cope with that.

Heres some pics

Great that your elastics are working so well PB! Those gaps are definitely getting smaller ... fantastic!

I hope your teeth/bite go well and is finished in good time for you. Remember going to appointments more often will not make your teeth move any faster, but it may allow your ortho to make any changes that are necessary a day or two early.

Your teeth are looking fantastic! :tumb:

    Thanks Sunny

Ah that makes sense, I did wonder why if they could move them quicker they didn't do that before. I've got my fingers crossed they can do it for April, but after spending so much money and time if there not ready a few more months wont kill me

I'm really pleased with how there coming on. I can't stop looking at them in the mirror. When they come off, I'm not going to be able to stop smiling

Wow the difference is reallt noticable! It sucks that you will be moving before your treatment is done too I moved about halfway through my treatment but luckily the office is only 1/2 an hour more out of the way now.

It really sounds like your ortho is working with you which is great!
