Hi All

I have finally uploaded the pictures of my teeth after braces. It has been hard work moving from Birmingham to Plymouth, but we are now starting to get sorted and enjoying being back

After the braces were removed my teeth were really sore and sensitive. They felt really strange, like they weren't my teeth anymore. It took a few weeks for them to feel normal again. I am really happy with the results, I could have stayed in the braces longer as the ortho wanted to reshape my teeth, apparently they are a triangle shape which means there are a few gaps at the top were the the gumline is, it meant filing them down into rectangle shapes and then closing gaps. I can't say I ever really noticed before the ortho pointed it out, so had the braces removed, which I'm very pleased I did.

My teeth were extremly yellow when the braces were taken off so I used some crest whitening strips, they seem to have helped a bit but I wasn't able to do the full course as my teeth still are quite sensitive and when I applied the strips it was quite unbearable. I may have them whitened professionally when I've got some spare cash.

As for the retainer, anyone who is worried about a fixed retainer, there is no need to be. I don't know its even there anymore. It doesn't affect my eating and I can still floss with no problems. And the best thing is you don't have to take it in and out, so hopefully my teeth will stay where there suppose too.
