My Nightmare with Braces!!!

Hello Everyone..
I had my braces put on in October of 06.. I first had to ware an appliance in my mouth to widen my upper bite before getting my braces put on. So I finally got the braces on and my dentist next needed to expose an impacted tooth, (my #7 canine), so I was sent to the oral surgeon to have it exposed and have a chain attatched to it, well after a year of trying to bring this tooth down they realized that it's to far up there and now want to either pull it and put in a fake tooth or pull both canines and pull my other teeth closer to fill in the gaps!! I'am so sick of the whole ordeal, so I'm just wondering if anyone out there has been in a similar situation and can offer any advice!

Punkchk11 it's great that you're going to keep a blog!
I've answered your question in the main forum, where you posted it. I also have an impacted canine, so I can relate to what you're going through. My advice is be as positive as you can, as your treatment will last as long as it needs to, so feeling that things are a nightmare will not help.
