So tomorrow will be my first week in Invisalign and must say it has been a long week with all the life adjustments with food and cleaning habits but I can definately see myself getting use to the new routine. All my fears and apprehension has now gone and I am looking forward to the next year and a half and the good thing is that my two front teeth will basically be straight by November so that's my first goal. Trays are still a bit hard to get out but Im sure its just ...
yippee... lol My next adjustment is this Friday. New updates/pics would be posted soon!

Well guys, here I am....28 days in....much better now at this point than I was at the beginning on January. There is definite movement in the front tooth. It has straightened up, but also now seems lower and makes my mouth seem crooked. I have a gap in my lowers that was not there before. I am having some sore spots in flossing, that were tighter (and some that are way looser) and I have trouble getting the ...
Before 1 month 2 weeks upper arch-note crooked front 4 weeks--not as crooked side ...
I've had quite a bit of bad luck with my upper trays splitting around my cross bite area. To date, trays 1, 3, and 4 have all split before their time. Hopefully this hasn't affected my treatment. Having said that, I slipped in my 5th upper tray last night without any difficulty and am still wearing my 4th bottom tray - which will put me out of sync for a week (but back in sync by next monday!). Anyhow - I'm keeping my blog over at blogspot too and will be posting pictures over there ...

Well thats the IPR on the bottom complete (i think going by my plan) ....it looks odd having these gaps where i never had them before but if it's for a reason i'll go with it. ( Still went and had a cry in the car afterwards coz i REEEEEEEALLY don't like IPR, I find it so painful, uncomfortable, generally a horrible experience Got a fair bit to be done on the top at the sides i'll not mind this so much I hope.......please be ok!!! Anyways tray 3 fits well, it was a bit tight but ...
Its now 4 days in and while I know it is meant to get easier to remove the aligners I am still having trouble. Its to the point where I actually dread having to remove them because its actually quite stressful to do so. I think its because of the way my front two top teeth sit, one sits forward and one sits back and getting the tray over both of these puts tremendous pressure on them and its painful. Having said that I guess I really have no choice but get use to it! I did ask the ...
Now its day three and for some strange reason I actually prefer to have them in than out. My teeth feel more comfortable to be snug than "loose". Didnt think I would be saying that! So anyway, we went out for lunch today to all you can eat buffet. So I get there after firstly making sure I had my little cosmetic bag full of floss, brush and paste as well as my Invisalign holder (will now have to go and buy myself a new handbag to accommodate all the stuff I now have to carry ...
So yesterday was day number one of roughly 570 days! That to me is a bit scary and the thought of wearing this for that long is a bit daunting SO I have decided to take it one day at a time and not focus on the future. Everything is fine and I have no complaints but the dentist also told me that the first two trays wont do much to my teeth. I can feel the pressure on my teeth but most of the time I dont even realise that I am wearing them. Oh and must mention that I only have the ...
Hey, everyone. I have a bit of a problem here. Today I popped out one of my bottom wires. It came out from my last molar, and it's cutting into my cheek like crazy. My ortho is in my home town, but I'm at school now, so I can't really go home for an emergency appointment. My next adjustment is in 2 weeks. I called the ortho, and he said it doesn't really matter that the wire is out, and it won't slow down treatment, so I should just cut it, but I can't get it. I also can't keep wax on it. It's driving ...
Well, I switched to my 2nd trays last night and I really had forgotten how tight they start out. I was just so use to being able to pop them in and out and they weren't tight anymore so I would forget I even had them in. Of course this set has the bump outs for the attachments on the bottom set which is hard to get adjusted to. My ortho's office said they do that so you can get use to the feel before you actually have the buttons put on your teeth. I have 8 spaces for buttons on the bottom and God ...
Well today was the day! I had my second to last adjustment and found out I'm getting my braces off in 8 weeks: March 25, 2009!!!! Horray. But the appointment today was so painful. It lasted an hour and a half (a good portion of that was spent waiting). I got a new threader on the bottom teeth and one on the top teeth. I also have the h-chains, I believe they are called, on top and bottom. Elastic wear switched from triangles to mid-lines, which I've discovered are more difficult to ...
Well, it's been 20 days and it's been pretty smooth sailing so far. I have the feeling that this 12-18 months is going to fly by. So, my last appointment... My gaps were too close the first time around to get bands on all four of my back teeth so I had to do another round of spacers and then this past Monday we got the last four rear bands on. (With some elbow grease) They are slightly annoying but overall it makes a huge difference. I can tell that everything seems ...
Funny how things change in the course of a few days . My teeth have completely adjusted, the lisp is nearly vanished (thanks to biting off the thingy behind my upper front tooth - just one though - one still remains) and the pain is barely noticeable - this is me smiling :0) . I'm so happy! I am sure the pain will resurface, moderately when my wire is changed on March 3, 2009; subsequently, when I will also post my next report.
is the big day when i found out my debanding date. soooo excited.
