I've managed to set my laptop up with the system my uni uses - which for somebody as clueless as me is quite an achievement! Ok so on 9/15/11 I went in for my braces appointment. When I first got there they took several pictures of my face, smile, teeth, etc, they made molds of my teeth which did not bother me like it did some people because I have had these done before when getting a night guard made, I knew what to expect. My advice is don't think about it and breath through your nose it only takes a minute each time. After this they went ahead and started to fit me for my molar bands, this was NOT fun for me at all! ...
I am 27 and finally decided to go ahead and get the braces that I have always wanted (well not really wanted but do want the ending results). My teeth are not really bad and people are like what are you getting braces for!!! I have a deep overbite, my top teeth completely cover my bottom, bite is not aligned properly because of this which hascaused TMJ. I had the orthodontist yesterday, and she seems happy with how its going (she has to be - she won't see me again for at least three months) and she put a full wire in the bottom and - wait for it - removed my elastics! I only have to wear elastics at night, and they are a new size again, 6.4mm which is a lot better. One either side, making a box, and one in the middle which is only hooked up to two teeth, kind of diagonally? Not sure what that's about, but I don't ...
I had an adjustment yesterday so that means it's time to update the blog. My ortho made his decison; he is going to pull teeth but he changed his mind on which teeth he is going to pull so it makes me even happier. Instead of pulling my "little peg teeth" (thats what he likes to call them) and reshaping my canines to look like those teeth but he has decided to pull my 4 pre molars (I think thats what you call them, the first front molars in your mouth). Well my spaces finally closed on the bottom row. I didn't think they ever would, as when one would close anotehr would open... The ortho used a different wire this time to get the job done and it worked. So I have an appointment next week with ortho and surgeon. I expect I'll get a date. I have my braces on for six months and I'm not having the best of luck. I keep breaking brackets. But, I have noticed that my brackets started to pop off after I had my oral surgery. I don't know if the brackets keep breaking because my teeth are trying to move quickly to close the gap from the missing teeth. Maybe, it can be from me eatting the wrong foods. so tonights the night I'm supposed to put on new invisalign trays. I put the trays on and the back two spots for the last two molars are kinda stuck on the air. the tray is on everyother tooth correctly it just on those two the tray doesn't touch the tooth. even if you push it down it just pops back up again. can anyone help?!?!?!?!,
Well folks, after 3 days I can officially say that my "fang" is G-O-N-E! It was actually gone after about 24 hours which was kind of amazing! My bite feels much better now and I can bring my lower jaw forward for a normal bite! Woohoo!!! More details/pictures on my blog.

Hello!! I've been wearing my braces for almost 6 weeks now and i never thought i would ever get use to them but i'm happy to say i'm adjusting to life with them.
