So i am now post op by 4 days and boy is eating getting bland. I am on a full liquid diet but can eat anything as long as it is blenderized. So far have had chicken pot pie, beef stew, onion soup, tomato soup, yogurt, and applesauce. Also swelling is def down ill post some pictures we took from hospital til today to see the swelling. hello bracies,

im new here and a few more days the doctor will going to extract my three teeth. Thought with Damon braces, i dont have to pull put any of my teeth. As i counted, when the teeth will be pull out, my upper teeth will only have 13 and lower teeth will have 14. Is it normal? Any advise? Might call my doctor again because actually they going to give me the normal braces and they have to take out the teeth (two on the upper, one on the lower). But now i decided to have the ...

So, totally forgot about this whole thing! Ive had my braces for about a year and a half and I have about 4 months left, yay! My only real complaint is that my lips are ALWAYS dry. They get so dry that my lips and smile look completely retarded. I use chapstick but it doesnt help. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do about it? It probably sounds kind of silly, but its so annoying!

So, after wearing first set of aligners for a grand total of 17 days (I wore them for an extra 3 days as I couldn't get an appointment on the 2 week mark), I 'graduated' to my second set of aligners 3 days ago.

My experience with Invisalign so far has been pretty good. I've been incredibly compliant with wearing the aligners, and I only take them off 3 times a day for my meals, and they are out for a maximum of 20 minutes for each meal, so that means I am ...

I'm 2 days into tray #10 Woo Hoo one more tray and I'm half-way done!! I had my 6-week check-up yesterday and my dentist commended me on what a great job I'm doing with wearing the aligners. My teeth are moving on schedule and I'm fitting into each new aligner with no problem.

I am finally noticing some movement. I've noticed that the large spaces in between my teeth have gotten smaller; and the 3 IPRs that I had done at my last visit are closing up already! ...

Monday is gonna be big. Well, in the grand scheme of things, perhaps not. But we all have our little hurdles to overcome and journeys to travel. Big changes - if not, there's going to be serious consequences.

Finally has come to the time of my braces treatment for my jaw surgery. I have been reading a few people on here blogs about their surgery to kind of prepare myself. Surgery is a week from this Wednesday and that date of that is April 4th. They are cutting my lower jaw and moving it forward a total of 8 mm and putting plates and screws in so that means i will be on a 6 week liquid food or no chew diet per say. At least it is almost Biniki season so this 'diet' can only help my figure right??? lol. ...

So tonight I was taking my normal 3 week progression photos when I realized three things.

1) The time is FLYING by so fast that I feel like I'm taking pics every week even though I'm not.
2) My bite has changed a LOT in just the last 3.5 weeks.
and 3) I've really come to love (and appreciate) my Elastics! lol!

Being that I never really had a 'bite' per-say, it is so wonderfully awkward biting down without teeth hitting and poking the roof of my mouth. ...
