To orajel and zilactin. Oh man its crazy. So after I got the coils two weeks ago my tongue was totally tore up. And I just can't stop sucking on the wires. Like I'm trying to get food out. So the big joke is that I'm engaged to get married but I've been hoping and stressing to get my two teeth engaged in the braces. For 3+ months they have had brackets but have not been engaged. Howdy... I'm cause we are putting a bid on a house today. But back to braces. I had an adjustment on Wednesday. Back at my first adjustment they put on "advancers" to create some space in two spots so that they could turn the teeth. They said in 4 weeks they would start to turn them. They advised me to make sure I took aleve before hand because so far most of my teeth are pretty straight so the soreness hasn't been too bad. But these two teeth have not been engaged ...
So the past month a gap was supposed to be created on the top and bottom so that at my next adjustment (tomorrow) they can finally start turning them. I'll start off by saying I know that my teeth are not that bad to begin with. I know this. But I'm at week 8 and I really don't see much of a difference. So all the people who are going through over a year or 2 of treatment I applaud you! I just had my first adjustment and it hurts. A lot. Like Back to soft foods a lot. And already counting how many possible adjustments left to go. Woof! And trying not to take the pain out on anyone around me. Not being too successful I fear.
