Told my best friend about braces...

So, I was texting with my best friend the other day, setting up a dinner date for the following week and I mentioned to her that I will be getting braces again on January 4th. Well, she is the best, she was very excited for me and assured me that it'll be great. She said she would get them too if she could. So, she has a dentist appointment soon and said she would have them check what her insurance covers and that if she can afford it, she will get them too! If so, I won't be alone with braces in my circle of friends. I think it would be very exciting for both of us to have braces as adults together.

So, I'm still counting down the days in my head all the time. I just want December to be over and get this whole braces thing started. I need to figure out how to remain patient and not allow it to consume my thoughts anymore. Any advice...

    I'm so jealous... not many of my friends know what I'm going through except a few that had braces back in junior high (like over 10 years ago), and most of them didn't follow the rules as strictly as I do. Constantly removing/putting in elastics and cutting your burger up with a knife and fork gets very annoying and kind of embarassing. I hope you and your friend can share the experience together. And don't worry- December will be over before you know it. I can't believe that in just a few months I'll have had braces for a whole YEAR already!! Tims flies. Good luck!
