Hey guys so I had my 6th Adjustment today. I got new wires & I put pink ligatures once again. I don't have pics but will upload some soon. I talked to my ortho about the "slight bend" on the wire that I've noticed on my lower jaw since wearing the elastics on my left side. She told me that I "overcorrected" my bite lol by wearing the elastics but I won't need to wear them anymore until she recommends them. So I am all smiles lol About the um "bends" I didn't ask about it but I didn't get any of those either. Maybe not until later on I guess. I set my next adjustment on Jan 5th since I would be on my Christmas Vacation So until then I wish everyone

    Great your adjustment went well Silvermist!

    A break from wearing elastics ... that will hopefully feel good for you. I've been wearing elastics for over two years ... not sure how it will feel without, although I'm sure I'll not have a problem finding out, when told I don't need them any more!

    A break from elastics sounds nice especially during thanksgiving, Christmas, and new years.

    Wow elastics for 2yrs? well I'm sure it's done a great job so far! (Sunny)

    Well guys since I posted this blog, my gum/teeth felt so sore! I couldn't chew properly and I'm not sure *I feel dumb that I didn't ask my ortho this* but I think my new wires are either thicker than the previous ones, although they don't look that any different to me or maybe it's because of this being my second wire change in 8½ months. I'm really feeling the pressure kicking in (which in fact is great news). Anyway I just took 2 tylenol extra strength & the pain went away I will post up the pics soon...

    New wires can affect the brackets in many different ways, whether a larger size or not, so sounds like you're got some movement happening, which is great news!

    My elastics have been to aid in the movement of my bite from class III to class I, plus to help close the gap over my impacted upper right canine ... massive jobs, but they are achieving both!
