Hey everyone! well tomarrow im sapposed to go in and get my spacers taken out and have the metal ancor spacer things put in. Not positive if thats going to happen. Had a rough time at the orth yesterday when i went in for a missing spacer. My mom called in today and they said that my fillings between my teeth are causing my teeth to stay in place with eachother, this means that the spacers arnt doing their job. We will see how things go on tomarrow.Kind of scared. ill let you all know. :) wish me ...

I got my fixed brace earlier, and so far it doesn't hurt!

I got my brace care kit and stuff, it's so weird.

The glue wasn't that bad really, the first one for the bands was kinda sweet and the second one for the squares was bitter :L

I picked Bright teal and purple because I have quite yellow stained teeth from years of drinking coffee so these have made my teeth a little brighter.

I went to the orthodontist today and got my spacers put in! the ones on the left don't hurt but there is one on the right, and it sticks out a fair bit at the bottom so when i bite down it kills!

I'm really conscious about what and how I'm eating, I've pretty much sucked noodles since i got back so that i don't knock one out by accident :L

Can anyone tell me why they don't just put the metal thing around your back tooth, or is it just me? My spacers ...

Really excited to get through this first week. Still adjusting to having bumpers and finding new ways to chew, but overall things are good. Fun to notice when my teeth shift, now I can get the tips of my left molars to touch! Only problem with some shifting is the wire on my right side is now in a spot where it gets caught on my cheek whenever I eat! Ouch! Hopefully a little wax and patience and things will shift again soon so it's out of the way!

hey guys, sorry if this whole this sucks but hey- I'm a newbie so :P

My teeth have always been a point of embarrassment for me, though not the worst I have seen around. My two front teeth are crossed over one another and my top teeth point inwards slightly. My bottom teeth are fairly straight but as they are barely on show they don’t make me feel much better about my teeth.

I'm not entirely new to the forum, I've been checking it daily and watching everyone's progress and thoughts and thought I might start my own blog as soon as I had my braces installed.

I've needed braces since I was 14, but could only start affording them this year. (I'm 20 now) I went in for a consult mid-April because of severe crowding and an overbite. My impressions, molds and x-rays were done and my braces were finally put on on May 11th 2012 ...
