Hello. I had an adjustment yesterday. I got my 2 upper and 1 lower powerchain removed. Yes! I got all of my bottom teeth tied together, again. On top, My top front teeth were tied together. The orthodontist put a spring on each side of my mouth to help close extraction gaps. They're not pleasant at all. I still wear elastics, but I have neon-colored ones now. At my next appointment ,on November 1st ,I'm going to take an X-ray to see my progress and determine whether they need to reposition some brackets.I

I had an adjustment yesterday. I got new Arch-wires. My top front and Bottom front teeth are tied together. I have Elastics also . My teeth are very sore.
So I went for my ortho. consultation today and it went great. I got great news better than I expected. I am a candidate for the Damon Braces. Her estimated time frame is 12-18 months but she felt that within a year I would get them removed. I scheduled to get them on top first Aug. 2! thats next week! The sooner the better! My wedding will be in October 2013
I do not need extractions either thank goodness! I got my wisdom teeth removed a couple months ago.
Hey Hey ! So I've been '' spacing '' out my updates in order to show the most progress possible. I have been seeing a change in my smile lately so I decided to take new pictures this afternoon !
Everything is still going great, the only concern I have is occasional sharp pain in my top teeth whenever I eat/drink something cold. Have any of you experienced this as well ? I did expect my teeth to become more sensitive but ouch..
My first appt is two weeks away and I
I can't believe how quickly time flies by, almost done my first month with braces ! It really feels like I got them on a week ago. I hope this feeling lasts, because there's stil many more months left (Estimated treatment time: 20-24 mos)
I'm not feeling self-conscious about them at all anymore, I forget i'm wearing them when I talk and there's practically no pain ! (Just a little tenderness while flossing/eating sometimes)
I noticed my canines are lowering and my teeth
This week went by superrrr fast, i'm already forgetting I have braces on ! I'm getting better at eating solid foods and my lisp is almost gone. Had a bit of pain on random occasions but I guess that means they're working haha. It's super sunny outside so i'm making a quick post and I have a few update photos. There seems to have been movement on the bottom, the top seems to be the same but hey, it's only day 14 ! Have a great day everyone xxxx
Hello everyone !
I'm not entirely new to the forum, I've been checking it daily and watching everyone's progress and thoughts and thought I might start my own blog as soon as I had my braces installed.
I've needed braces since I was 14, but could only start affording them this year. (I'm 20 now) I went in for a consult mid-April because of severe crowding and an overbite. My impressions, molds and x-rays were done and my braces were finally put on on May 11th 2012
I think this is a very good product but obviously the company fails to educate the Orthodontics/Orthodontology colleges, and some orthodontists listed on Damon web site as the Damon brace provider are not really practice the technology, if patients didn’t do some study & research before they visit the orthodontist, they’ll believe what those fake Damon Brace provider tell them, and that ruin the reputation of Damon system, and the worst, the patients’ teeth got ruined in the long term. So I
I am just starting my braces journey, so there is not much that I can talk about right now. I will, however, talk a little bit about the cost and estimated treatment time of my braces, and basically how I've come to this point.
So, I've been teased my entire life for my teeth. They are very crooked, overcrowded, and I have an overbite. My parents couldn't afford braces when I was younger, and when I got into my 20's, I didn't want braces because I
