via my blog @ http://dswiz.blogspot.com/ I went to my 11th adjustment today and my ortho was happy about my gaps being closed! Now he is going to work on closing my open bite on the right side. He put a thicker wire on top (yay....) and made some kinks in my upper and lower wire to try and bring my teeth together. My upper teeth should come down a little and my lower teeth need to come up a little. I hope these wires work their magic fast! ...
via my BLOG! Went to my adjustment today (15 minutes late and I literally RAN out my door lol) and my teeth are "almost there" according to my orthodontist. Good news... I guess? Here's what you've been waiting for... pictures! Double power chain! Yikes! They added a double power chain to my top 6 teeth. You can kind of see ...

I've had my braces on for 9 1/2 months so far. I just got my bottom brackets on last month, so I haven't seen much change there. As far as my top teeth go, they're nearly straight. My front teeth have been stubborn. You can see in the photo that my ortho bent the wires in order to get them to move the right way. I've been satisfied with my progress, and I've noticed that my bite has been changing. I ...
Went to the mall today! /)*3*(\ Ate some Subway, and I really don't think my braces liked that. XD Lmfao. Have a new appointment April 24th. Can't wait! :3 Oh, and I have an unusual gap in between my top front teeth. D: Any advice on how this came to be? :c What my teeth look like right now: Snapshot_20120309.JPG
It has been around 10 weeks since i last updated my journey... mainly because i couldn't get onto the site...... so i thought i would give a quick update. Firstly, i have seen a great amount of movement and have been amazed at how quickly they moved in the first month, and how they continued to move in the last week! I had incredibly crooked teeth and a very bad (well i thought it was) overbite. And being 6ft 3", most people have to look up to talk to me and the gap ...
Hello all, I'm starting this New Year with tray #14. 7 months so far and fianlly some changes to see. This is the 1st tray after IPR was done on my upper arch and it feels quite tight, specially on my 4 front teeth. The gaps opened by the IPR procedure aren't noticeable with the trays on, but they open again when I take them off. By the way, I'm annoyed with the way IPR was done on my two fron teeth. The midline isn't vertical. It's already done and I can't do anything ...
Okay so basically my treatment as been boringly uneventful. I guess that's what happens when you get close to your de-banding date right?? (At least I hope I'm close!) I think my ortho is trying to perfect my midline, and I have seen definite improvement since a few weeks ago. Shoot, I better see improvement since I've been wearing my rubber bands like my life depends on it! Lets take a look Week 62 - Almost there!!! My midlines are SO close! ...
It's been a while since my last post! November was boring, and nothing changed much (just some minor tweaks by my perfectionist ortho), but this month has been more eventful. I had my first December appointment on 12/15, where my ortho decided that one of my bottom teeth needed to be turned slightly. He couldn't get the spring on it the normal way, so we had to MacGyver it a little. We also discovered that another one of my bottom brackets was busted. Of course, the one next to my original busted ...
via my blog: Wired Journey Well one year and a week has gone by and my 7th adjustment is done. My ortho says my teeth are straight, my bite looks good, and my debanding date will depend on how strict I wear my Class 2 rubberbands! He said I am way ahead of schedule (based on their records my original debanding date was Nov 1, 2012). So basically the more I wear my rubberbands, the sooner my braces come off! Woohoo! I think he is just trying to fix my midline. Just a guess, I didn't ...

I thought it would be kind of cool to compare pictures of how my teeth looked before braces and a year after braces (well almost a year... 50 weeks later). Before braces: before-braces.jpg (You can't even see my bottom teeth when I bite down! And look how narrow my arch is. You can only see 6 teeth total!) Week 50 of braces: week50-braces.jpg (My arch is MUCH wider and my lower teeth have come down A LOT. I'm ecstatic ...
Just a quick update to upload a couple of pictures. I'm on tray #10 at the moment and -finally- there're some visible changes on the front trays 1 to 10.jpg

Guess who is in their finishing wires?? ME!! Finally my last wires! I swear I have had about 5 or 6 different sets of wires so far during my treatment. It feels great to hit this kind of milestone in my treatment. My orthodontist was very happy with the progress of my teeth and said that my bottom teeth have really opened up and my bite was looking great. My upper teeth are covering 50% of my bottom teeth unlike before I had braces where my upper teeth covered 100% of my bottom teeth. I am still ...

Tray #8 is on Wow, I can't believe tray #8 is already on. Finally, I'm sarting to see changes in the front. Sure they are still minimal, but I'm quite happy about it. So far, the trays have been expanding my narrow upper arch and now it's time to start moving the front teeth into place, too. By the way, this past month have been my first holidays with Invisalign. I was worried at first, but cleaning your trays in fountains in public parks or brushing your ...
(More details on my blog) Today I went in for bracket repositioning and x-rays. My ortho and the assistants were impressed with my tooth and root alignment and I only needed to get my upper central incisor and upper premolar brackets repositioned. My "Fang" is FINALLY going to be fixed!! I'm still in Class II elastic configuration but my ortho said that I am ahead of schedule and the longer I wear them the sooner I can get my brackets off! I am wearing ...
Time flies, isn't it? I'm already on my tray #6. No changes are noticeable from the outside, but after 2.5 months of treatment I can floss easily now, which was impossible some weeks ago. Comparing upper trays #1 and 6#, I can see there's a small difference. The arch has widened a bit. I can't wait for it to be wide enough to allow the front teeth to move. tray 1 and 6 peq.jpg tray5peq.jpg
