Yep! Already 5 weeks down! lol. It seems to have gone slow though and I had been waiting for my first adjustment for what seemed forever! lol It wasn't really painful, more just pressure when the ortho was taking the ligs off the teeth and also putting them back on. Its like he knew which tooth would cause me pain as when I made a "arghh" and he would go "yes i thought so!" lol. I got a new thicker wire on the bottom, but kept the same wire on top, ...
I have had my braces for over a month now and my first adjustment is on tuesday! YAY! looking forward to seeing my orthodontist and what he has to say and getting some new wires and baby pink ligs hehehe. I am excited for some colour! Anyway, I was sitting here and decided to take a pic of my upper arch to see the difference so far and wow... it shocked me! I LOVE IT and cannot believe the progress in just one month. The top pic is before any orthodontic work or extractions, ...
Hi everyone, thought I would take some pics tonight as I can notice some progress, I am amazed that they have moved this much already! Look at the wire, you can see the movement better :) yay! photo (15) (400x400).jpg photo (13) (400x400).jpg
I officially completed my first month with fastbraces on the Feb 14th :) I had my first check up and i now have all my top braces. At the dentist office i saw the pictures of my teeth from before and when they put the first 4 on and i saw a difference, so i'm super excited about that! I have powerchains on top and they suck super bad, because food gets stuck so easily. Here are some pictures of my progress :) 1 month down "?" to go! pho1to.JPGPhoto on 2013-03-17 at 16.22 #2.jpgphoto.jpg ...
Still don't feel comfortable with my teeth but after looking at my before and after I feel so much better. Moments ago when I switched into my 18th tray I was kind of upset. For my bottom teeth I am only suppose to have 19 trays, leaving me with 4 weeks until they should be complete but I don't think that is going to happen. I mean who knows but just stinks. I know refinements are common but I have 35 trays for my top teeth and I'm almost positive they wait until my whole mouth is done to do refinements, ...

Ok, so I'm 25 and finally getting braces! While researching braces I stumbled across "fastbraces".. After looking into it, it sounded amazing!! Half the time.. 3 months- a year of braces! After going to my consultation, I found out my overbite would require jaw surgery... But I went ahead and decided to get the braces, because I mostly cared about my teeth being straight and would be perfectly happy with any improvement of my bite. I can't find my up close picture of my teeth ...
Hey everyone.....I've not posted since before Christmas, so I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Years. :) I'll be going to the ortho in 2 days time to pick up tray 22....my penultimate set!! I am soooo close to the finish line now. I say this in almost every blog entry but I just cannot believe how fast the time has gone. It only feels like yesterday that my ortho called me to say that my trays had arrived and everything is ready for me to begin treatment. Time sure flies. ...
Hey everyone, I've been meaning to update my blog but haven't found the time until now. I'm currently on day 10 of tray 19. I'll be changing onto tray 20 on Tuesday. Where has the time gone? Just 4 more trays to go. Everything is looking fab and my ortho is extremely happy with my progress. Trays 18 and 19 have been a total breeze, so nothing major to report other than my teeth are looking straighter than ever. Woohooo Ever since starting invisalign, i've always seen ...
Hello! It's another milestone for me today as it's my 8 month Invisalign Anniversary which = 245 days of plastic. Can't believe i've made it this far. Woohoo! Hopefully a little under 3 months to go for me now and i'll be done with this initial round of treatment. These past 11 days with tray 17 have been an absolute breeze. I had my last lot of IPR done during my last ortho visit where my ortho made a 0.2mm gap between 2 of my upper teeth. It really is amazing how ...
Hello. Today is my fifth day of wearing tray 16 so I thought I'd drop by and let you know the latest happenings with my treatment.... On Tuesday, I went back to the ortho to get tray 16 fitted and to have some more IPR done. Having already had my first lot of IPR done during my previous appointment, I felt a lot more relaxed about it as I knew what to expect. This time, I had 3 gaps made, all of which were 0.2mm so I can't even notice the gaps he made. Once again, the ...
So I wanted to see if there was any progress the past 2 weeks since my orthodontist mad a TON of tweaks on my wires and I have a new elastic configuration with smaller rubber bands. I'm happy to report that there was a LOT of progress!! Check out my progress pics on my BLOG! My teeth are even, gaps are closing, and I'm almost done! Hopefully my next adjustment in 2 weeks will bring me some good news :-)
Hello! Today is my 7 month Invisalign Anniversary (can't believe it), so I thought I'd mark the occasion by updating my blog :) It's day 8 of tray 15 and I'm pleased to report that things are still going great with my treatment. I went to the ortho last Tuesday, not only to get tray 15 fitted but to also get my first lot of IPR done. I was quite anxious about it all day as I've read some real horror stories about teeth being filed too much and leaving horrible gaps ...
Hi everyone! I've been pretty lazy with my blog updates lately, so since I've got 10 mins to spare on this rather grey Sunday afternoon, I thought i'd take the time to update you on my progress. I was incredibly excited to enter my 'teenage' stages of the treatment, so I'm now referring to myself as an Invisalign Teenager (sad, I know haha). Tray 13 was an absolute breeze from beginning to end so there's really not much to update you on about tray 13. ...
Hello. I had an adjustment yesterday. I got my 2 upper and 1 lower powerchain removed. Yes! I got all of my bottom teeth tied together, again. On top, My top front teeth were tied together. The orthodontist put a spring on each side of my mouth to help close extraction gaps. They're not pleasant at all. I still wear elastics, but I have neon-colored ones now. At my next appointment ,on November 1st ,I'm going to take an X-ray to see my progress and determine whether they need to reposition some brackets.I ...

So it's been 7 months since I've written a blog post and had my aligners. It does get better, I did not think it would, but it does. The pain is gone! :D and my teeth look so good! i'm getting my 18th tray put in on thursday, out of 30. only 13 left, yay! :D I'm so excited to be finishing this soon. I have not needed any attachments yet(!) also, which has impressed my ortho...they fit in so well. Hopefully, I won't need any attachments at all. I wish I had taken a photo of ...
