So now I've had upper lingual braces on for 4 weeks. The pain has almost completely gone, my speech is good and eating is not really a problem at all either. I am very happy with the upper lingual braces.

Can anyone tell me what their experience is with lower lingual braces vs ceramic braces? I'm still thinking about which way to go but the orthodontist has encouraged me to go for the ceramic braces. I'm a bit concerned about the visibility of these.

Had lingual braces put on my upper arch today. I am having ceramic braces on the lower arch in about 3 months.

No real pain so far, it takes a bit of gettting used to a mouth full of metal though. I am speaking with quite a lisp today and having trouble eating as everything seems to get stuck in the braces. It all feels a bit strange.

So far I'm very happy with my decision to get lingual braces.
