First time post here...been over at archwired, someone recomended this site, so here I am checking y'all out!

This does look a little more user friendly, although I have gotten a lot of good advice from the good folks at archwired..I notices a few names here from there too!

I am 4 months into braces...I put my name here at theresa 48/49/50 because these are all the ages I will be with my braces on...lucky me! It has been a rocky road for me, I hate having braces. I will say this, at this 4 month point, I am a little more used to them...I thought I would be used to them so much sooner....oh, and I said used to them...I still hate them, but know I will be happy with the result.

I have clear on top, metal on bottom...baby canine pulled to make room for the adult tooth in the middle of my palate (yes, I am...soon to be was...a freak). It's moving, but I have a HUGE space in the front which has been oh just so lovely to live with....

Anyway, just a quick intro...I will be checking in from time to time...cheers!

    Hi and welcome! I agree with catgyrl, it's nice to see you over here and the edit button around here comes in handy! - I don't have to constantly check/preview my posts like I do at Archwired

    Hi Theresa,

    I think many people are on both archwired and here with slightly different names or the same (hiya Catgyrl.)

    I'm VancouverJude over there (as you know) and Jude63 here (although....hmmm....since I'm only "39" that should be Jude71.)

    Brace day is creeping up -- finally! -- I'm getting nervous.

    Hi and welcome!

    Great that you're having an impacted canine brought into place. My treatment started at 47, but got derailed due to my impacted canine not coming free ... damn tooth. Then my treatment had to be changed and the longer 'moving premolars and molars forward' began.

    Fortunately I hardly notice I have braces, which has been a relief. I hope you find this happens for you soon.
