Well I made it through my first week in braces! Woo hoo! Hopefully, besides the surgery part of my treatment, this will have been the hardest part. Everyday just keeps getting better. I am back to eating pretty much like I did pre braces. I still don't think I could bite into something with my front teeth yet, even if I was allowed to. But my teeth's sensitivity to pressure has pretty much dissipated completely in my molars. I once again enjoy eating and even though I want to take advantage of it...It is such a pain in the a$$ to have to brush and floss after eating anything, so I only really eat when necessary. I have cut out a lot of snacking, which is probably a good thing, haha.

Last night, before I went to bed I brushed my teeth and when I started flossing, I noticed that I have some gaps! Just tiny ones, but it still made me very excited! I can't physically see anything looking different when I look at my teeth in the mirror, but I've flossed the old crooked teeth long enough to know they were never that easy to floss in particular spots. If that got me this excited, I'm probably going to do cart-wheels when I actually can start seeing the movement of my teeth! But even that subtile difference just makes you realize how worth it this is. You forget how bad the braces hurt those first few days and the canker sores and cuts in your mouth. I say this to myself all the time, but I wish I would have done this a long time ago!

It's great to read how quickly you've adjusted to your braces ... all very good for the rest of your treatment!
