1st Adjustment and 8 Week Mark

Wednesday November 11, 2009 was the 8 week mark that I have been wearing braces and Thursday November 12, 2009 was my first adjustment. The adjustment took longer then I expected, but then again, it was my first adjustment and I really didn't know what to expect. If that makes any sense at all. My appointment at the Ortho took over an hour. Both arch wires on the top and bottom sets of teeth were changed to a bigger size. 14g to 16g. It felt so nice that few seconds while the Ortho was swapping wires. Then that familiar pressure when the new wires were put on. I didn't take any Advil before I went. I meant to, but forgot. My teeth were a little sensitive to pressure later in the day and throughout Friday, but not to the point where I needed to take any Advil for it. I don't like to take any pain killers if I don't have to, and I do have a rather high pain tolerance.
My Ortho told me that he did not want to wait until my surgery before pulling some more teeth. My mouth is so small and there is nothing he can really do with the bottom teeth until two more teeth are removed. He has my next appointment schedule for 6 weeks (December 29, 2009), and in that time I will have met with my surgeon. Then I will go back to my Ortho and once he has my information back from the surgeon, then he will probably have me book an appointment with my dentist to have two teeth on the bottom pulled. At least that's what I'm hoping so that I can get another hurdle over with. And my Ortho is still thinking that two teeth on the top will have to be removed as well, but not until later on in my treatment.
I asked about surgery, I know I am jumping the gun, but I have a friends wedding next August that I am a bridesmaid in. I wanted to be sure that my surgery won't be until after that and my Ortho assured me it won't be until next fall sometime for sure. I have no complaints with that.
Anyways, I've been reading up on as many blogs as I can when I have time, and I hope everyone is doing well!
Here's a few progress pictures that I took today compared to photos at 2 weeks:
