First set of trays - Day 5

HiSo this will be my blog to help me keep up with my progress and share it with others. I received my first set of aligners on Tuesday January 3, 2012. They were tight at first and I think it shocked me how much they hurt in the beginning. The pain was not unbearable I took some asprin and it was fine. I do not think it was the actual pain that shocked me, but I think I did not prepare myself of how much of a change it will be. The "pain" only lasted two days on and off. Now my biggest issue with them is that I constantly know that they are there, and they are slightly annoying. It's like the itch you cannot scratch. I hate complaining because this was totally my choice and I wanted/want them so bad. So, I am willing to appreciate the "pain" and annoyance.
I will get my attachments/buttons (I believe ill call them buttons) in 6 weeks. So, I will switch my trays once before I go back.
If anyone has any advice on cleaning the trays, i brush them every time I eat (which is now three times a day). However, I notice lil white spots on the aligners and ill wipe them off/brush them off. Any better way? Also, ill be starting back school soon since i've been on christmas break. Occasionally ill go to starbucks and have a cold drink during class. Can I have that with the aligners in? I know I run the risk of staining the aligners, but I wouldnt do this every day just kind of an exception. Plus i drink water all the time anyways it is basically the only thing i drink (even before the process).
Ill update soon![]()
